Angela Matta started coaching cheerleading 3 years
ago with Pop Warner where she took her squad to
Regionals in Alabama and advanced on to Nationals in
Orlando, Florida. Angela was the head coach for East
Lee Middle School in Sanford, NC for the 2006-2007
school year, where she took her squad to a 2nd place
victory at the Holiday Classic in Fayetteville, NC.
Angela Matta has a passion for dance. She has
directed five dance teams, with a total of 40 members,
and taught at numerous dance conferences and
workshops with the attendance in the hundreds.
Angela feels that by coaching cheerleading, not only
can she help them cheer and dance better, but she
can also make an influence in their lives that they can
take with them for their future.
Angela Matta has been married to Jose Matta for a
total of 19 years. They have three beautiful daughters,
Leesa- 18, Ceara- 16, and Janesa- 14 who shares the
love of dancing and cheerleading with her mother.
